Children love to play along a trail, it can be anything from a competition to a fairy tale adventure journey AND play trails are a great way of developing balance, co-ordination and social skills, they're a playground essential!

These contrasting items are linked together to provide a mixture of fun and easy or more challenging activities. 4 standard trails are demonstrated or you can design your own using the separate components.

F These Play Trail items have a Free Fall Height of less than 600mm and so do not strictly require impact absorbing surfacing in accordance with EN 1176. However SMP recommend that a minimum surfacing area is provided, especially in place of hard surfaces such as concrete or tarmac. This area is indicated in our plans. Grass can be a suitable surface for some play equipment providing that it is maintained to ensure the impact attenuating properties are not lost.
