This is the section for individuals and groups that have clear and definite ideas about creating an outdoor play space, multi-sports or fitness area – but now need to develop these project ideas further before attempting to secure funding.

Although every project is different our starting point is the same and focuses on getting underneath the skin of the project as quickly as possible.

To do this we will need to understand the nature of your project and assess its current status. By talking to you we’ll be able to gauge your readiness to apply for funding, and the likelihood of you securing it.

To help us gather this information we provide a Free Fact Finding Service which focuses and explores the why’s, what’s, where’s, when’s, who’s and how’s of your project.

To cover all the ground and to make sure that we don’t miss anything your local SMP Area Manager we will arrange either:

i) an initial assessment telephone interview; or
ii) A pre-qualification visit

What do we mean by Fact Finding?
The telephone assessment interview and the pre-qualification visit will help answer a number of fundamental questions and clarify important issues.

Establishing the ‘Facts’ early on will help us know and understand:

- what your plans are;
- what are the priorities;
- the type and level of service you need from us.
